About this policy
Talela is an educational application operated by Perfect Circle. Talela assists authorized teachers, school leaders and education professionals in completing classroom observations and teacher assessments using the features and assessment instruments provided in the application.
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled in the current version of Talela.
No data collection
The current version of Talela does not collect personal data, user data or device data. It does not require users to create an account, and it does not send information entered in the application to Perfect Circle or to an external server.
Perfect Circle does not receive, store or analyse information about schools, teachers, learners, classroom observations, assessments or application usage through the current version of Talela.
Information handled on the device
Talela may allow users to enter school, teacher, subject, classroom observation and assessment information. This information is processed locally on the user's device only to provide the application's features. It is not transmitted to Perfect Circle or to a third party.
Any information saved locally remains under the user's control on that device. Users are responsible for protecting access to their devices and for removing locally saved information when it is no longer required.
Sharing and sale of information
Because Perfect Circle does not collect or receive information through the current version of Talela, it does not sell, rent, trade or share personal data or user data.
The current version of Talela does not transmit information to advertisers, analytics providers, research partners or other third parties.
Learner and child information
Talela is intended for use by authorised adults and education professionals. It is not intended to be used independently by children.
Teachers, schools and other users are responsible for protecting learner information and for complying with their professional, institutional and legal obligations. Users must only enter learner information that is necessary for an authorised educational purpose.
The current version of Talela does not transmit learner information to Perfect Circle or to a third party.
Security
Because information handled in Talela remains on the user's device, its protection depends partly on the security of that device. Users should use a secure screen lock, restrict access to the application and keep their device software up to date.
No electronic device or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
User rights and requests
Perfect Circle does not hold personal data through the current version of Talela and therefore normally has no user data to access, correct or delete. Users control information stored locally through their device and the application's available controls.
Future updates
A future version of Talela may introduce optional online features such as accounts, cloud storage or other connected services. If an update collects or transmits data, Perfect Circle will update this Privacy Policy and the relevant app-store disclosures to explain the change.
Where required, users will be informed and asked for permission before any new data practice begins.
